Bulk silica gel intended for use in museum environments at a customer-specified relative humidity level enables the stabilization of humidity inside display cases, containers, and transport crates.
It is a synthetically produced form of silicon dioxide (SiO₂) in the form of colorless beads with a diameter of 2–4 mm, characterized by high hygroscopic properties. Available at various humidity levels, it is vacuum-packed in plastic bags with a volume of 1 or 2 liters (weight depends on the selected humidity level). Available RH levels: <10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 45%, 50%.
